We are expanding our Auckland network into the North Shore, building into the new CDC Hobsonville data centre, and the Vocus DC in Albany.

The aim is to be in more places so we can better connect our rapidly growing partner base, providing them with cost effective transit and network access running at 100% uptime.

Here's how the design looks:

Major Data Centres in New Zealand

Why are we doing this?

Our partners are going in to CDC, so we are too. We are partner led, so we like to establish a network presence wherever it helps out partners succeed.

If we are going to do this, we’re going to do it right. That’s why we’re going into the Vocus DC in Albany as well. We are creating a ring that connects these two DC with 220 Queen and Mayoral Drive PoPs in Auckland central.

How does this help you?

If you have kit in either DC we can now provide you with even lower latency services and provide you with even greater resiliency for data going to/from these locations.

About CDC Hobsonville

Carrier neutral, this hyperscale data centre is designed specifically for national critical infrastructure providers and other discerning organisations. This campus uses 100 per cent renewable power since their first day of operations and are certified Toitū net carbonzero and Toitū enviromark diamond.
