Important information for UFONE customers

In February 2025, UFONE was acquired by Lightwire.

This brings together UFONE’s trusted service and customer relationships with Lightwire’s scale, innovation, and nationwide network capability. The result is a stronger platform to support your business, with greater resources and a wider range of connectivity and voice services.

As part of this transition, we are now completing the formal transfer of customer agreements and billing relationships from UFONE to Lightwire. This is an administrative step designed to ensure a smooth and seamless continuation of your services as we complete the integration of UFONE into Lightwire.

There will be no interruption to your services and no changes to the services you currently receive. Your agreement and billing relationship will simply transfer from UFONE to Lightwire.

Once complete, you will also have access to the full range of Lightwire services, along with support from our larger national team.

Novation process

As part of this transition, we'll work with you to complete the formal move of transferring your service agreements and billing relationships from UFONE to Lightwire.

This involves:

  • Issuing a short novation agreement for signature via Docusign
  • Confirming billing details
  • Completing onboarding to Lightwire systems

Each step is designed to be simple, clear, and well supported to ensure a smooth transition.

111 Contact Code

We comply with the Commerce Commission’s 111 Contact Code, ensuring vulnerable customers have reasonable access to contact Emergency Services in the event of a power outage at their property.
